National champion South Carolina made the final cut for the state’s top girls basketball prospect for the Class of 2023.

Keenan High School senior guard MiLaysia Fulwiley has the Gamecocks in her final five list that was released Wednesday. The other schools are Florida, Louisville, Miami and Ole Miss.

Fulwiley took some unofficial visits over the summer, including USC. Her first official visit is planned for Ole Miss on Sept. 1.

Fulwiley is ranked as a five-star prospect and No. 16 in ESPN HoopGurlz rankings for the Class of 2023. She was offered by Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks during her seventh-grade year.

USC landed the top prospects in the state for Class of 2022 in Ashlyn Watkins and Talaysia Cooper. South Carolina doesn’t have a commitment yet for the Class of 2023.

Fulwiley has been a dominant force for Keenan since being moved up from middle school to varsity before the 2018 playoffs. She was part of the Raiders’ state championship that year and has helped them to three straight titles from 2020-22.

The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 29.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 4.6 steals this past season and went over 2,000 points for her career. Her highlight-reel plays have become the norm on social media sites Overtime and Slam.

Fulwiley had a strong summer playing for Team Curry, which is run by NBA champion Stephen Curry. She averaged 16.4 points per game on the Under Armour AAU circuit.

Fulwiley was one of 12 players picked to attend the prestigious Curry Camp Aug. 3-7 in San Francisco. She will play in the Under Armour Elite game in Chicago on Friday.

The Keenan standout will cap off her summer playing at the SLAM event at Rucker Park in New York on Aug. 20.
