The Day wants to publish your favorite recipes

Aug. 5—Over the past 14 months, our "What to Cook" feature has brought you dozens of recipes from chefs and restaurants across the region — cartwheeling across the culinary landscape, if you will. And we plan on continuing this fun practice from the Professionals — with a perhaps long-overlooked twist.

After all, some of the best chefs around are in your own kitchen — or at least they drop by at holidays, birthdays or special occasions toting that special dish that, without it, those occasions wouldn't be quite so special.

Consider this, then, an open call. Do you have a recipe you'd like to share? (No cheating: include ALL the ingredients and steps-by-step!). Email me at r.koster@theday.com.
