The process of shopping for your home can be quite overwhelming, and in October 2017, Kathryn Duryea set out to change this with the launch of Year & Day, a minimalist kitchenware brand. The business has enjoyed much success since its inception, with everyone from Mandy Moore to Eva Chen appreciating its visually appealing dishware, flatware, and glassware at affordable price points.

Now, just in time for fall entertaining, Duryea is extending her popular home brand into yet another product category—scented candles. The new Infinite Candle is available in Year & Day's four signature hues: Daybreak: tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom, lemon; Fog: sea salt, sage, eucalyptus; Moon: rosemary, lavender, mint, moss; and Midnight: cedarwood, vetiver, smoke, rose. At $60 each, the stylish candles embody the California-cool vibe that has defined the brand over the past few years.

"Along the way, our customers have asked for more products to display in their homes and apartments that offer the same quality, style, and design at direct prices," Duryea, a Stanford MBA graduate, tells ED. "Our Infinite Candle is the perfect accent to dress up any space in the home: your coffee table, countertop, sinkside, tubside, or bedside."

And the collection's appeal doesn't stop at aesthetics—the paraben-free candles are sustainable, and are crafted of vegan soy wax. "Unlike other candles made of glass, these ceramic vessels can be re-used with Year & Day’s curated clean-formula refill program and ethically-sourced from Portugal, doing the environmentally and socially responsible work for you upfront."
