Dayton Metro Library Huber Heights branch closes, new multi-million dollar location announced

The Dayton Metro Library has announced it will be closing a Huber Heights branch location next month.

The Chambersburg Road location will close its doors on Saturday, May 6 in order to prepare for the opening of its new location, according to a release from library officials.

Library operations will be moving into a new facility at 6243 Brandt Pike later in Summer. A Community Celebration and Grand Opening will be held on June 2.

At 27,000 square feet, this new building will be the second largest Branch in the Dayton Metro Library system. It’s estimated that it will also be an $11.8 million investment for the city of Huber Heights, as part of the redevelopment of the Marion Plaza.

This new facility is part of the Dayton Metro Library’s $187 million facilities upgrade.
