Daytona Beach area restaurants feed residents after Tropical Storm Ian — how you can help
Rebuilding after a storm is nothing new to Floridians. With many people still without power or overcoming property damage and destroyed homes following Tropical Storm Ian, our first instinct is to help.
Restaurants throughout the Daytona Beach area have come together to aid by feeding those in need and providing jobs for out-of-work members of the hospitality industry.
Over a dozen businesses have donated meals, and a local Facebook group has gone above and beyond to raise money for meal distributions in areas still affected by Tropical Storm Ian. Below is a list of restaurants in Volusia and Flagler counties that have put the community first along with ways for us to give back.

Ocean Deck

The waterfront restaurant and bar posted on Tuesday that they are hiring those in the restaurant business who are currently out of work due to the storm at both Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach locations. For more information, visit facebook.com/OceanDeck.
Local Facebook group raising money to buy food for those in need
A private Facebook group that focuses on dining in Volusia and Flagler counties raised money and worked with local restaurants to provide meals for those deeply affected by Tropical Storm Ian. Below is a breakdown of how much money was raised and what businesses participated.
The leader of the Facebook group, Tricia Phillippi, organized the donations. As of Wednesday, the group has raised $3,000 in 48 hours. This money will be used to buy meals and snacks for those in need. All the information below came from Phillippi and her Facebook group, which will be distributing the food donations.
