A 26-year-old Daytona Beach man died Tuesday after he was thrown from a pickup in a crash in Holly Hill, according to police.
Anthony Lee was the driver and sole occupant of the 2004 silver Chevrolet pickup in the crash which occurred about 11 p.m. at 1518 Ridgewood Ave., according to a press release from Holly Hill Police.
Witnesses told police that Lee's was the only vehicle involved. Witnesses said the vehicle was traveling at high speed south on Ridgewood Avenue when it went out of control as it passed Flomich Street, according to the release.

The vehicle rolled multiple times, ejecting Lee, the release stated. The vehicle then struck a power pole and a palm tree on the west side of the road before coming to a stop, the release stated.
First responders treated the driver and then transported him to Halifax Health Medical Center, where he died, the release stated.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.
