Daytona Costco to offer trove of unusual treasures on opening day Thursday. Here's a look.
DAYTONA BEACH ― Costco members will find a number of unusual items at the chain's new Daytona Beach store when it opens on Thursday, Feb. 22. They include some that will only be offered in limited quantities for a short time.
Here are just a few:
A Florida-shaped cutting board
Made by a company called Totally Bamboo, this bamboo cutting/serving board is not only shaped like the Sunshine State, it includes the names and cartoon images of a few key cities including Daytona Beach and Deltona.

Huge plush bears
The opening day selection will include some 93-inch-long plush bears by a company called Hugfun.
Transformers go-karts
Segway and Transformers teamed up to produce a limited edition series of colorful yellow-and-black "Bumblebee Gokart Pro" go-karts.
Inflatable water slides
A company called Happy Hop has made an inflatable water slide called "Crocodile Cave Adventure Waterparks" that measure 17 feet in height and just under 13 feet in width when fully blown up. The product comes with a blower to make inflating it easy.
Actual gold bars
Rand Refinery offers one-ounce gold bars that will be available at the new Costco, but with a maximum purchase limit of only two per person. The price fluctuates depending on the daily price of gold, according to Tara Coltman, Costco's Southeast regional marketing manager.
Blue eggs
The refrigerated dairy section inside the new Costco includes "Heirloom Fresh" blue eggs produced by Azur hens.
