Nothing says ‘Winter is better in Florida’ like all-day pickleball games that can also be played in the dark - better known as Dazzleball - when played at Antilles in south Naples. The new construction, Coach Home community has had a big season, selling out its Phase One residences by the end of 2021 and currently putting the finishing touches on its next release, with completion dates on schedule to start being met later this month. The auspicious timing of its most recent Dazzleball event on 02-22-22 celebrated all of the exceptionalism of the good life possibilities in Naples with a once-in-a-lifetime celestial spin. Starting with a BBQ Social with all the fixings at 5:30, the pre-registered players arrived on time, mingled like the old friends many are and were in good spirits with the prospect of becoming a part of the glow-in-the-dark, 02-/22/22-inspired pickleball nighttime Shoot Out that was soon to take over the evening.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Dazzleball phenomenon, it offers one more way for the fast paced sport of pickleball to be enjoyed. It is not only played under lights at night, but pickleball played under blacklight, because most pickleballs contain a degree of fluorescence and can naturally cast a glow trail when struck under blacklight. Additionally, much of the existing equipment has fluorescent trim. As fashion and sport intersect, neon trims on paddles, shoes and clothing have become popular, all of which are revealed in bold relief under ultraviolet lights, even surpassing white attire as night time attention getters. To further define the dazzling spectacle, all 4 of Antilles’ pickleball courts and all the equipment, lines and nets were outlined with fluorescent tape.

At 7:15 the streetlights were turned off and blacklight took over. Registered and most of the wait listed players got their chances to be a part of the event and 02-22-22 became one more fun evening at Antilles.

Pickleball is only one of Antilles’ amenities. its Flamingo Club amenity center is at the heart of the community and is a stylish showcase for 5,000 square feet of indoor amenities plus an additional 9,000 square feet of outdoor living features, all provided at no additional cost to its homeowners beyond the purchase price of their home. No membership dues. No assessments. Buy a home, get a lifestyle that includes 24 hour access to the Cardio Fitness Center and huge Gathering Room social center. Sonny’s Cafe and the Fireplace Lounge with comfortable seating and a TV big enough are always open for game day extravaganzas. Event catering facilities, executive and conference services are also available in the Club. A complete array of the features and finishes available in an Antilles home can be reviewed on site in the Flamingo Club’s Selections Center.

Antilles’ oversized outdoor living area is focused around its 3,500 square foot Resort Pool that hass an inviting wade-in entry homeowners love as well as a curvy, sculptural shape that features coves for easy, multi-family use. The oversized heated spa is partly shaded by a landscaped island installation for year round tropical flair and the adjacent Tiki Hut with end to end service bar offers multiple lounges and seating arrangements for all day relaxation in and out of the sun. A party size outdoor grill, umbrella tables and a large, pergola-shaded Fire and Conversation Pit complete the deck area.

Two regulation bocce ball courts are fitted out for game play next to Antilles’ four pickleball courts, all with surfaces designed to withstand Florida’s weather extremities. They are lighted for evening play and a putting green has just been installed in the same courts area. Game equipment is always available to the homeowners and their guests.

Antilles exceptional location is as significant to the development of its resort lifestyle as its amenities. Being set back at the far end of a long approach ensures a noticeably quiet setting, while it is only one-half mile from Collier Boulevard’s wide lanes and easy access to everything that makes Old Naples and Marco Island world class destinations. Additionally, being adjacent to Rookery Bay’s 110,000 acres of national estuary preserves to the west means Antilles’ homeowners are guaranteed a lifetime of soaring local and migratory wildlife sightings and unobstructed, horizon wide sunsets. The birds and water fowl featured in Antilles marketing materials were all photographed on site, around its own 5-acre Kingfisher Lake and wetland preserve, which will remain in its natural state for homeowners’ enduring enjoyment.

Antilles is a gated, 54-acre development which will offer 212 Coach Home residences when complete. Its landscaped setting and unobstructed views in all directions give the community a quiet ambience. Its own 5-acre Kingfisher Lake and adjacent wetland preserve are central to the community’s development, with triple tiered fountains, beautifully highlighted at night, contributing to the beauty and natural serenity of the setting.

Phase Two Grand Coach Homes, Antilles’ largest, offer 3-Bedroom floorplans from 1,980 to 2,444 square feet under air and include 2-car Garages. They are priced from the mid-$500,000’s. Smaller Classic Coach Homes offer floorplans in the 1,500 square foot range and also include 3 Bedrooms and attached 1-car Garages. Construction of the Classics will begin shortly.

Part of the reason for Antilles’ sold out success can be attributed to the fact that as a luxury development, no upgrades are required to get solid core, 8-foot interior doors, Merano hardware, cove ceilings per plan, higher ceilings and taller baseboards as standard fittings. Shaker style wood cabinetry is used throughout the home with soft-close features, as are 42-inch high Kitchen upper cabinets and wide profile, porcelain tile flooring in all living areas with designer-level carpeting in the Bedrooms.
