DBacks World Series watch party planned at downtown Phoenix restaurant and bar

Arizona baseball fans who want to feel the World Series energy of Games 1 and 2 can attend a watch party hosted by Guy Fieri’s Downtown Phoenix Kitchen and Bar, directly across from Chase Field, according to a team news release.

Festivities are set to begin at 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, about an hour before the first pitch as the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Texas Rangers in Arlington.

The party will be emceed by the DBacks' in-game host Mike Bauer and will have raffle prizes for fans every half-inning. All sorts of goodies will be up for grabs, including tickets for Games 3 and 4 in Phoenix, postseason merchandise and autographed baseballs.

The team recommended fans arrive early as seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Once tables are filled, the event will have standing room only. The team said viewing and drink service tables will be available at no charge, but full-service tables will have a food and beverage minimum of $50.

Guy Fieri's downtown site is a restaurant and sports bar as well as an official sportsbook. According to the restaurant's website, the venue has nine betting windows and 13 self-service betting kiosks.

However, fans itching to see a home game in person might be out of luck: The Diamondbacks already sold out Games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series, according to the team. It recommended fans wanting tickets to purchase them through SeatGeek, the team's official online marketplace.
