DC man to serve 35 years for shooting at Clyde’s in Chevy Chase

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A judge said a man whom a jury convicted for a shooting at a restaurant in Chevy Chase in 2022 will spend 35 years in prison.

Jurors found David Lee Brown III, 29, of Washington, D.C. guilty on several charges in September 2023.

Police and prosecutors said Brown was involved in a fight with a woman at Clyde’s restaurant in Chevy Chase, Md. on Nov. 14, 2022. Several people jumped in, and a physical fight took place. It was during that time that Brown was accused of pistol-whipping someone and shooting a second person.
