DCR closes Breakheart Reservation in Saugus as wildfires burn along public path
The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation has closed Breakheart Reservation to the public due to ongoing wildfires.
In a tweet, the DCR said wildfires are causing heavy smoke and active fires along the paved path.
This is the second consecutive day fires have resulted in the closure of the Saugus reservation.
The DCR said Wednesday it was shutting down the reservation for the remainder of the day, and there would likely be intermittent closures for the rest of the week.
