Dead body found near Georgetown University

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A dead body was found near Georgetown University early Friday morning, the university said in a statement.

The body was found around 5 a.m. near the southernmost boundary of the university’s campus outside of the Village A apartment complex. The university said in its statement that the person who was found deceased was not affiliated with the school.

Major crime in DC down for 2nd month in 2024

Georgetown University officials were cooperating with the Metropolitan Police Department in the investigation.

No foul play was being suspected.
