Dead & Company concert at Gillette resumes after severe weather
Saturday night’s Dead & Company concert at Gillette Stadium was delayed for about an hour as severe thunderstorms hit the state.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., fans were asked to shelter in place on the main concourse and follow the instructions of staff.
“We appreciate your patience as we await the passing of severe weather,” a follow-up tweet read. “We look forward to resuming the show as soon as we can safely do so.”

In the tweet’s replies, one woman said the rain was coming down in “buckets,” but she and her friend were staying dry under an awning in the lower section.
Around 8 p.m., the stadium tweeted that the band would take the stage again in about 30 minutes.
Heavy rain and high winds tore through parts of the state Saturday evening, dumping more than an inch of rain on some areas.
The storms started to subside by 7:30 p.m., paving the way for Fourth of July displays scheduled for later Saturday night.
