Deadline fast approaching for 2,000 Sacramento Co. businesses to register and offer retirement plans
The clock is ticking for thousands of small businesses that employ between five and 50 workers and don't offer them retirement plans. They have until Thursday to register and offer retirement accounts to employees through the CalSavers Retirement Savings Program. Katie Selenski, CalSavers executive director said there are about eight million Californians who don't have access to a retirement plan at work and adds that those who do, are 15 times more likely to save and be on a path to retirement security.
