Deadly 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake Causes Damage in Fukushima

At least one person was killed in Japan’s Fukushima prefecture after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck the northeastern coast late on March 16, reports citing local authorities said.

According to the US Geological Survey, the 7.3-magnitude earthquake was preceded about two minutes before by a smaller 6.4-magnitude earthquake, also off the coast on.

Japan’s meteorological agency lifted a tsunami advisory on Thursday morning that it issued for northeastern parts of the country.
