Deadly Blaze Rips Through Casino and Hotel in Cambodia

At least eight people were killed after hundreds became trapped in a fire at a casino-hotel on the Thai border in western Cambodia, a Thai police captain said on Thursday, December 29.

Footage released by Cambodian police shows the building engulfed in flames at the Grand Diamond City Hotel and Casino in Poipet.

According to Cambodian outlet Fresh News, the blaze broke out at 11:30 pm on Wednesday. The outlet placed the death toll at 10, citing a preliminary police report. Credit: BMC Province Commissariat Of Police via Storyful
