The “powerful” storm made landfall in Japan’s Hiroshima Prefecture on Thursday and sparked landslide and flood warnings, reports said.

An 82-year-old man in Onomichi died after he fell from a ship in stormy waters, local media reported.

The storm also forced the cancellation of hundreds of flights and led to the evacuation of more than 7,000 people, local media said.
