Deadpool 3 isn't expected to kick off filming until 2022, but we do know that it's definitely happening, and will somehow bring Ryan Reynolds' R-rated antics into the MCU.

Deadpool 2 added a host of comedic actors and cameos, including Catastrophe's Rob Delaney, Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Terry Crews, Hunt for the Wilderpeople's Julian Dennison, and even cameos from Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.

So it stands to reason the new movie could involve Ryan's new business partner – and fellow funny and ripped famous person – Rob McElhenney, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and co-creator of Apple TV+'s Mythic Quest.

Ryan and Rob recently purchased the UK football team Wrexham AFC, after becoming friends during the COVID-19 lockdown, so could they team up again for a Deadpool threequel?

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, about whether he'd work with Ryan on Deadpool 3, especially after getting in superhero shape for Always Sunny, Rob joked: "I just want to go on record in saying that nobody wants to see Deadpool 3. Deadpool 2 was derivative.

"It was unnecessary, and I believe that Deadpool 3 is just, I mean, really beating a dead horse. And this is coming from a guy who's going to do 18 seasons of a television series."

Speaking of Always Sunny, Rob has confirmed It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 15 will begin work in May 2021.

As for Mythic Quest, the show could be the best Easter egg hidden on Apple TV+.

Despite having a rag-tag cast of kooky video game-obsessed characters, the show, which was also created by Charlie Day (Always Sunny), and Megan Ganz (Modern Family, Community), is essentially an office-based comedy –think the US Office meets IT Crowd. So, you don't need to be a gamer to love it, as the tropes it plays on are easily recognisable (even to n00bs).
