Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds makes dig at Hugh Jackman during Wrexham visit

Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds has teased co-star Hugh Jackman in a hilarious social media post commemorating his co-star's visit to Wrexham AFC.
The Wolverine star, who will appear alongside Reynolds in Deadpool 3, was pictured at the home ground of the Welsh football club, co-owned by Reynolds and Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney.
The three Hollywood actors watched Wrexham take on fellow League Two team Milton Keynes Dons in Saturday's match (August 5). The Welsh side lost to their opponents, 5-3.

Following the defeat, Reynolds took to Instagram, sharing a post which reflected on the result and joked about his co-star's attendance.
"Epic opening day at @wrexham_afc," began the caption. "The @mkdonsfc played like heroes. Big thanks to @thehughjackman for his first and last day as “Admiral Vice Football Operations Ombudsman” because I just found out you made the f**king title up."
Reynolds's post featured 10 photos from the day, including several of him hanging out with Jackman at the club.

Fans reacted to the star's funny dig in the comments section of the post, with one writing: "My two favorite men. What a treat".
Another made light of the fake job in the caption, commenting: "Oh you mean the AVFOO!" with a winking emoji face, whilst a fellow fan simply wrote: "love you two and your banter x".
Jackman showed his support on the day by wearing a baseball cap displaying Wrexham's official club logo.

Fans of the two superhero actors will know that Reynolds and Jackman have been engaged in a joke, fake "feud" for a few years now.
In July, Reynolds shared a photo to Threads of the Wolverine action figure, as depicted in the comic books. "Comic accurate short king," read the caption, seemingly poking fun at Jackman's famous on-screen character.
Earlier in January this year, Jackman uploaded a tongue-in-cheek Instagram video begging Academy bosses to not "validate" Reynolds performance in Christmas movie Spirited with an Oscar nomination.
"Ryan Reynolds getting a nomination in the Best Song category would make the next year of my life insufferable," the X-men star claimed, explaining that he would be spending a lot of time with Reynolds whilst filming Deadpool 3.
Fans got their first look of Reynolds and Jackman in their superhero roles for the third Deadpool film in July.
Production on Deadpool 3 has since shut down owing to the ongoing Hollywood actors' strike.
Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are streaming on Disney+, and also available on digital download, DVD and Blu-ray. Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, has a release date of September 6, 2024.
