SB Nation: Eight teams that might trade for DeAndre Hopkins

Mark Schofield lists the Chicago Bears, Falcons, Patriots, Ravens, Vikings, Browns, Bills and Houston Texans as potential landing spots for Hopkins.

Of the Bears, he writes: "Having traded out of the first-overall selection, the Bears are making a push to build around Justin Fields, at least for the 2023 season. Adding wide receiver D.J. Moore is part of that push, but the Bears could still benefit from a receiver like Hopkins. Hopkins’ ability to adjust to off-target throws, and make tough catches in traffic/against contact like this one against the Minnesota Vikings, is huge for a young quarterback like Fields."

CBS Sports: Cardinals might not get desired compensation in trading Hopkins

Bryan DeArdo writes: "The Cardinals may not get as much for Hopkins as initially hoped, after fellow veteran wideout Brandin Cooks was traded from Houston to Dallas in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick. Arizona was reportedly seeking a second-round pick and an additional pick for Hopkins, who will be 31 years old before the start of the 2023 season."

Bleacher Report: Trading for DeAndre Hopkins a risk for NFL teams

Joseph Zucker writes: "Hopkins' injury problems over the last few years add more uncertainty to his long-term outlook. He experienced hamstring trouble in 2021 before tearing his MCL. A minor knee injury sidelined him for the final two games of the 2022 season. The three-time first-team All-Pro performed well after serving his six-game suspension for a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy. He caught 64 passes in 717 yards and three touchdowns in nine appearances. His 79.7 receiving yards per game were right on track with his career average (77.9)."

Pro Football Talk: Will DeAndre Hopkins be the next wide receiver traded?

Mike Florio writes: "This could be interpreted as a deliberate effort by the Cardinals to remind any and all potential suitors that it’s time to speak now or forever hold your picks. Regardless, it has seemed inevitable that Hopkins will be traded. He had been linked to the Cowboys. It’s unclear where he’ll now land. Hopkins has a non-guaranteed base salary of $19.45 million for 2023, and a non-guaranteed base salary of $14,915,000 for 2024. He surely will be looking for a raise, given the current market at the position. The team that trades for him will need to realize, and accept, that wrinkle."

NESN.com:  Is conclusion of DeAndre Hopkins sweepstakes near?

Zack Cox writes: "We could be nearing a conclusion to the DeAndre Hopkins sweepstakes.  Under his current deal, a team that acquired Hopkins would take on his salary cap hits of $19.45 million in 2023 and $14.915 million in 2024.

It’s unclear if the New England Patriots were among the “interested teams” Rapoport referenced, but they have been linked to the Arizona Cardinals standout this offseason. Though Hopkins, who turns 31 in June, is past his prime, he’d be the true No. 1 pass-catcher New England’s offense lacked in recent years."
