The Sidlo Award recognizes a community member who has a proven history and record over an extended period of vision, leadership and legacy. “The community is better today because of the work and efforts of those that we honor with this award. If they had not been here, our community would be less than it is today. Debbie Robinson’s love for Guernsey County is evident in everything she does. Debbie’s continued devotion to our community will leave a legacy and she deserves to be recognized”, said Jennifer Vincent, president of Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce.

Robinson has worked diligently over the last 24 years to promote Guernsey County tourism. Under her leadership, the VCB has marketed the Dickens Victorian Village, brought the Paul Bunyan show to Guernsey County, highlighted the National Road, The Wilds and brought many meetings and conferences to Salt Fork Lodge and Conference Center.

She serves on the boards of the YMCA, the Dickens Victorian Village, Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival, Cambridge Main Street, Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce and Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation. She has served as past president of the Ohio Travel Association, as well as the past president of the Ohio Association of Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Robinson was born and raised in Fries, Virginia, and moved to Guernsey County in 1987. She worked in marketing at Guernsey Memorial before joining the VCB in 1999.
