Decatur animal shelter reopens after cleaning

Apr. 30—The Decatur Animal Services shelter reopened Friday morning after being closed Thursday for a deep cleaning, according to a city spokesperson.

Emily Long said the facility at 300 Beltline Road used bleach and water during a cleaning "for the health and safety of the staff and animals."

The shelter's hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The shelter can be reached at 256-341-4790.
