December blood drive collects 65 units

Fairbury’s Dec. 28 Bloodmobile, which was held at the First United Methodist Church, collected 65 units.

First time donors were Charles Kahle of Lexington and Tara Norris of Fairbury.

Others reaching milestones were Beth Russell, Fairbury, one gallon; Michael Blackwell, Fairbury, two gallons; Robert Schroen, Chatsworth, seven gallons; Dennis Wenger, Fairbury, eight gallons; Kathleen Lawless, Strawn, eleven gallons; and Joe Palen, Forrest, seventeen gallons.

Also donating were Linda Ambrose, Sandra Mauricio, Mark Hall, Lisa Kilgus, Stanley Blunier, Rose Stork, Alice Gordon, Leland Livingston, Jeremy Leman, Ed Palen, Charles Larsen, Ernie Garcia, Brian Short, Curtis Meiss, Jason Leman, Aimee Boulware, Paul Harms, Shelley Schahrer, Rollin Wenger, Randall Stoller, Nancy Stadler, Amanda Bachtold, Ted Bachtold, Donna Delaney, Kelli Maquet, Walt Edelman, Richard Barsema, David Boomgarden, and Anita Boomgarden.

Others donating were Louis Retter, MaryAnn Stork, Julius Embry, Gerry Groskreutz, Greg Hish, Russell Tjarks, Carol Tjarks, Karen Steidinger, Steve Hall, Ty Cottrell, Barry Kaisner, Cathy Smith Penny Grusy, Nancy Kahle, David Daniel, Joseph Moore, Neil Atkins, Mary Zimmerman, Gregg Honegger, Leann Brown, Laurie Sturm, Darcy Stoller, Barbara Schlatter, and Dennis Knauer.

Donors came from Fairbury, Forrest, Chatsworth, Chenoa, Cropsey, Sibley, Strawn, Lexington, Gridley, and Wyoming, Illinois.

The Forrest Christian Apostolic Church donated a Dave’s gift card to provide food for the donors and also furnished cookies. Becky Schaffer, Jill Waibel, Joyce Honegger, Mary Wenger, JoAnne Steidinger, and Julia Steidinger donated cookies, as well as Kathy Honegger.

Volunteers working at the bloodmobile were Teresa Palen, Jeanie Searby, Helen Moore, Kathy Fehr, Karen Munz, Judy Wells, Leroy Ward, Deb Moran, Linda Zick, Angie Wenger, Barb Ward, Conner Haab, Randy Lane, and Barb Taylor.
