You’re invited to Holiday Party

The public is invited to join Rodman Public Library, Alliance High School’s Choralaires and Santa Claus for a holiday get-together. Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, when the Choralaires will entertain guests by singing Christmas carols. At the conclusion of their performance, they will introduce Santa Claus, who will greet the children. Santa will be available for photos and will pass out a treat. RPL to host Teen Lego Buildoff

Rodman Public Library will provide the LEGOs, teens will provide the creativity from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 during a LEGO building competition. Ages 12-18 will work in teams of two or three to create a winter- or holiday-themed display using a variety of LEGOs provided by the library, including LEGO Mindstorms. Designers of the winning display will receive a prize. No registration is required. Program is supported by Friends of Rodman Public Library. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 217.

Polar Express to make run at RPL

Children and their families are invited to join the staff of Rodman Library’s Children’s Department on a trip to the North Pole. The run will be offered four times – 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 12, and 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 13. “The Polar Express,” written by Chris Van Allsburg, will be read, and passengers should be prepared for surprises along the way. Pajamas are encouraged, but not required. Registration is required for each person attending (children and adults) at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup.
