Deep River Covid-19 Tax Relief Payment Information

DEEP RIVER, CT — According to a press release sent out from the town of Deep River, the second installment of Real Estate and Personal Property tax, on the 2019 Grand List, is due January 1, 2021. Also due in full is payment of the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax.

Governor Lamont issued Executive Order No. 9R and the Deep River Board of Selectmen voted to once again offer a lowered interest rate. This relates only to those balances that come due January 1, 2021. Through March 31, 2021 delinquent interest will be calculated at 3% per annum instead of 18%, with no minimum charge. Portions that remain delinquent as of April 1, 2021 shall be subject to interest and penalties as previously established.
