The 20-year-old from Ranchi defeating her South Korean opponent 6-2 in the finals to clinch the bronze medal. This victory will come in as a much-needed boost for the young archer, particularly after she encountered a tough time in 2014, where she failed to make it to the Indian team as she finished outside the top 4.
This is now Deepika’s second medal at a World Cup. Earlier, she had won a silver medal at the 2013 Shanghai World Cup in the individual event.
