Deer’s head stuck in plastic container for 12 days

VERMILLION COUNTY, Indiana (WJW) – A deer that had its head trapped in a plastic container for nearly two weeks has finally been freed.

The deer was first spotted on February 10 in Vermillion County, Indiana, but troopers couldn’t catch it.

According to a social media post from the Vermillion County Indiana Sheriff, deputies returned the next day but couldn’t find the deer.

Days went by, but the deer hadn’t been seen.

Finally, on Thursday, February 22, a full 12 days after the deer was first spotted, a deputy spotted it while doing his daily patrols.

According to the sheriff’s office, the deer had busted through the bottom of the container so it could eat and drink.

Deputies worked together to corner the deer and remove the container from its head.
