Deerfield Patch Honors High School Graduates: Class Of 2020

DEERFIELD, IL — Deerfield Patch wants to share the achievements of local high school graduates by putting them in the spotlight over the next few weeks. Due to the coronavirus, in-person instruction has canceled the rest of the 2019-2020 school year in Illinois. We know these wonderful seniors are missing out on some of the last moments of the school year.

We hope that this will give the community a way to share their pride in our Class of 2020 high school graduates. You can find the form here if you'd like to add your graduate. Patch will be updating this form until May 31.

Here are few more of the Deerfield Class of 2020 high school graduates:

Rebecca Lily Radis, Deerfield High School

Rebecca was the captain of the varsity warrior dance team — state champions 2020. She will attend Indiana University and study elementary education.

Message from the family: "We are so proud you each and every day and can not wait to see what your bright future holds for you! We love you beyond words!"

Sloan Fisher, Deerfield High School

Sloan's interests include fashion and design. She will attend Tulane University.

Zachary Columbus, Deerfield High School

Zachary was an exceptional DHS student. He excelled in Mathematics, Science and as a Member of the Spanish Honor Society. He was a Senior P.E. Leader, involved in DECA, played basketball, ran a successful virtual Madden Football League, worked two jobs and graduates high school having simultaneously completed 1.5 years of college. He will continue our family tradition at the University of Illinois, studying Financial Planning, Statistics and Sports Management.

Message from the family: "‘Mumbo’s’ kindness, inclusiveness, humbleness and fantastic sense of humor combined with his trustworthiness, versatility and strong work ethic will continue to enable him to succeed in business and in life! We are proud of you beyond words, Zach. Love, Mom, Adam, Josh, & Emily and Snoopy, too!"

Hailey Cooper, Deerfield High School

Hailey was very involved in BBYO, and her temple youth group. Hailey is in the Key Club, National Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society. She will attend University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and study Advertising.

Spencer Sher, Deerfield High School

Spencer has been involved as a drummer in Marching Band, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. He has also played in the pit for the musicals and has been pit director for Stunts. He will attend the School of Jazz at The New School.

Message from the family: "Spencer congrats on all you have achieved these last 4 years. We are excited for you to be in New York City to follow your musical dreams!"
