Deerfield-Windsor grad Charlotte Augenstein leads Georgia Bulldogs at SEC Championships
Oct. 31—Deerfield-Windsor grad Charlotte Augenstein was the Georgia Bulldogs' top runner at this past weekend's SEC Cross Country Championships, hosted at the Ole Miss Golf Course in Oxford, Miss.
Augenstein was 65th overall out of 148 runners in the women's 6K race with a time of 21 minutes, 25.17 seconds. It was a considerable improvement from the sophomore's 112th-place finish at the conference meet in 2021.
Augenstein closed strong in the SEC race, jumping 14 spots in the last kilometer.
"Charlotte ran very well, probably one of her best collegiate races," Georgia cross country coach Patrick Henner said.
