The biggest night of the year for TV creators–not to mention TV fans–is finally upon us. The 2019 Emmy Awards will take place this Sunday, September 22, at the Microsoft Theater in the heart of Hollywood (okay, so it's technically in downtown Los Angeles, but that doesn't sound as glamorous). A whole lot of huge shows are nominated for prizes this year, including Game of Thrones, When They See Us, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Chernobyl, Sharp Objects, The Handmaid's Tale and This Is Us, and you know you're gonna want to tune in to see your faves walking the red carpet.

Here's exactly how to watch the 2019 Emmy Awards, whether or not you have cable.

How can I watch the 2019 Emmy Awards?

The full ceremony will be broadcast live on Fox on Sunday, September 22, beginning at at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. It'll also be available to stream on Fox’s website and the FOX NOW app, but you'll need a cable login for both.

Fox’s pre-show coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. The red carpet special will be hosted by The Masked Singer panelist Jenny McCarthy, Shannon Sharpe of Fox Sports and Kelly Osbourne. There'll also be a feed called Backstage LIVE! broadcast from the Emmys website, which will feature backstage and off-camera moments, and you can also keep up with the latest behind-the-scenes footage on the Emmys' official Instagram account.

But what if you don't have cable? Don't sweat it, cord-cutters–you still have plenty of options. If you don't have cable, you can sign up for a service like Hulu with Live TV, FuboTV, or Sling TV, all of which let you stream broadcast TV live through your computer. These services all offer one-week free trials, so you could technically just sign up for one of those in order to watch the ceremony, if you don't want to commit to paying a monthly fee. Here's a quick list of the services available:

Did the 2019 Emmy Awards already happen?

No, but the confusion is understandable. Last weekend marked the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys, which took place over two nights on Saturday September 14 and Sunday September 15, The Creative Arts ceremony is a separate event where the awards in technical categories (editing, casting, costuming and makeup etc) are given out, as well as guest acting awards and other similar categories. The big winners at this year's Creative Arts ceremony included Game of Thrones, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and The Handmaid's Tale.
