A North Jersey bookstore is getting ready for Prime Time.

Deion Sanders, who played more than 20 combined years in pro football and baseball before entering the college football coaching world, will visit Bookends Bookstore in Ridgewood for a meet-and-greet next month to promote his newest book, the store announced on Facebook Wednesday.

Sanders will be at Bookends at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13. The event is a day after the scheduled release of "Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field," the multi-sport star's book written with Don Yaeger.

All attendees need a ticket, which can be purchased for $34.99 at www.book-ends.com. Those at the event are entitled to a photo opportunity with Sanders and a pre-signed bookplate copy of "Elevate and Dominate."

Sanders, known as "Prime Time" during his career, played 14 years in the NFL (1989-2000, 2004-2005) and another nine in the MLB (1989-1995, 1997, 2001). He is the only athlete ever to appear in both a Super Bowl and a World Series, and to register an MLB home run and an NFL touchdown in the same week.

After retiring, Sanders became an NFL analyst before earning a new nickname: "Coach Prime." He was named the head football coach at Jackson State University in Mississippi in 2020, where he remained for the next three years.

Sanders then left for the same job at the University of Colorado to start the 2023 season. In November, Sports Illustrated named Sanders its Sportsman of the Year for his efforts to revitalize the school's football team.

"In less than a year, Coach Prime has not only transformed a moribund Colorado football program. He’s also breathed fresh life into the campus and transformed a community," writer Pat Forde said in SI's story announcing Sanders' honor.
