Following the win against Colorado State University, Deion Sanders reiterated that he will continue ranking his children because he’s being an “honest” parent.

The two-time Super Bowl champ first introduced the public to his ranking system during a birthday shout-out to his oldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., in December 2022. He posted a photo of them together with the caption, “Happy Birthday to My Favorite Son @deionsandersjr ! I’m so proud of u. Although you’re in my pockets from Time to Time your productivity is well above reproach. You have blown up my social, JSU’s social , your siblings social and u you’re excellent at what u do. Keep on striving for your dreams and to understand your purpose in life. Your the #1 son and #1 on the kids rankings currently.”

His long-time fans thought the family’s long-running inside joke was funny and chimed in the comment section like they were distant cousins of the Sanders clan.

“Too cute how you ranked your kids,” one fan wrote.

“Why my boy @shilosandersalways ranked #4 or #5? What we gotta do to get him up on the list 😩😩😩😩🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️,” another person commented.

“Shilo been #5 since infancy 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” a third fan agreed.

The new Colorado Buffaloes football coach had college football fans up late Saturday night as they witnessed the University of Colorado Boulder’s electrifying comeback against CSU. According to People, the question of, “Shilo got two turnovers today, I’m wondering if that moved him up in the kid rankings,” is what led the former Dallas Cowboys player to share the current status of his rankings list for his five children. Two are from his marriage to his first wife Carolyn Chambers while the other three are from his second marriage to Pilar Sanders.

Shelomi “Bossy” Sanders, 19

Following Shilo’s game-day performance, which included two stolen turnovers that played a big role in the Buffaloes’ win, during the post-game press conference a journalist asked, “I’m wondering if that moved him up in the kid rankings?”

“He is moving up,” the 56-year-old replied. “He is moving on up like the Jeffersons, but [son] Shedeur is straight-up balling too.”

Sanders added that Shelomi, a Division 1 basketball player at UCB, may have jumped up on the list as well when he spilled some additional details regarding actions he considers when making changes to the list that have nothing to do with their athletic skills.

“Bossy came in and gave me the biggest hug and kiss and appreciation for Daddy that she could ever give me at the end of the game, so that was great,” he said.

The Hall of Famer stood his ground when talking about his parenting and love for his kids because he knows other parents feel the same way even if they they will never admit it.

“It’s tough. My kids’ rankings are tough,” he admitted. “It’s a serious run right now, it really is.”

He added, “I’m the only one that’s honest about ranking my kids. You guys act like you love all of them the same and you don’t,” he said, adding, “I don’t know why y’all act like that.”
