Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders is having a very good Wednesday.

Sanders said on a podcast Tuesday that JSU's 2022 class would "shock the country", and he has delivered on that statement. Travis Hunter, the top-ranked recruit in the 2022 class per 247Sports, flipped his commitment from Florida State to Jackson State on Wednesday.

The five-star cornerback from Collins High (Georgia) High School had been committed to FSU, Sanders' alma mater, since March 2020 but made the announcement at his high school on Wednesday. It is a landmark commitment, as Hunter would be the best recruit to commit to an FCS school since online recruiting rankings have been in existence.
