Del Norte Pharmacy locations set to be sold

Apr. 24—New ownership is pending for the three local Del Norte Pharmacy outlets as the ownership group deals with the 2021 death of Harvey McCroskey, who launched the Del Norte brand in 2000.

"All three of the Del Norte Pharmacies are in the process of being sold," wrote Rhonda Hindsley in an email. Hindsley is managing partner at Dansley Inc. in Sherman, Texas, which owns the pharmacies through Turquoise Ltd. "The buyer is a pharmacist and will be keeping these pharmacies as 'independent pharmacies.' "

The prospective buyer was not named.

Turquoise Ltd. acquired a pharmacy at 1691 Galisteo St. in Santa Fe and one in Las Vegas, N.M., "from another company in 2000," Hindsley said. R&R Professional Pharmacy was at 1691 Galisteo before Del Norte.

Del Norte Pharmacy of Eldorado opened in 2017.

McCroskey had been managing partner of the Del Norte pharmacies and owned other pharmacies in Texas. Though based in Sherman, Texas, Harvey and Janet McCroskey also lived in Santa Fe, and Harvey McCroskey died in Santa Fe on Sept. 29, 2021.

Earlier in April, the Del Norte Pharmacy of Santa Fe was closed for a week because of staffing shortages. All three pharmacies have had abbreviated hours because of national worker shortages.
