Del Norte Pharmacy reopens Monday

Apr. 7—Del Norte Pharmacy Santa fe, 1691 Galisteo St., will be back in action Monday after being shuttered all week.

In a statement, the pharmacy's ownership group said the closing was due to a staffing shortage.

"This issue has now been resolved, and Del Norte Pharmacy Santa Fe will reopen Monday, April 10th, at 10 a.m., the statement said.

Dansley Inc. of Sherman, Texas, which owns Del Norte Santa Fe and locations in Eldorado and Las Vegas, N.M., did not elaborate on the staffing issues. Santa Fe resident Tara Coy earlier this week told The New Mexican she heard from a pharmacy employee in the parking lot that both pharmacists had quit.

The Dansley statement did not address closing times, but before the weeklong closure, Del Norte in Santa Fe had reduced hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and was closed on Saturdays.

The Del Norte pharmacies in Eldorado and Las Vegas are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
