MARSHALL HARRIS: Marshall Harris here. High school football is back for some. For others, they were reminded just how quickly that can all change. After receiving a positive COVID-19 test, Del Oro's varsity squad learned they would have to quarantine for two weeks. Meaning their season opener against Granite Bay has been canceled.

GLENN STOUGH: We were all in a good mental place with our kids, and our kids were happy again. And they come home and they're talking football. They're talking sport. They're talking about how great the coaches are. And it's just such a positive vibe. It's a vibe that we haven't seen in a year.

Now we're watching our kids have to suffer like this again. And it's tough as a parent to watch your kids go through the emotional roller coaster.

MARSHALL HARRIS: An emotional roller coaster indeed. The player who tested positive feeling those symptoms, and they're hoping his test was a false positive. According to Glenn Stough, the student has had a negative test since and is waiting on a third test to come back from the lab.
