Del Valle ISD superintendent to retire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The superintendent of Del Valle ISD announced she would be retiring in December.

Annette Tielle has been with the district for seven years, with 32 years in public education, according to a post.

“I believe that the district is in a great place to build on our legacy of success, and it is my personal responsibility as a leader to provide ample time to prepare a transition plan,” Tielle said.

According to the post, Tielle said she planned to close her tenure by creating a budget for staff raises, opening the P-TECH/ECHS Campus and Gigafactory Studio, launching the Thinkery Community Center, and continuing the building of the district’s second high school.
