Congrats to Danielle Scott!

Video Transcript

- On this last day of Women's History Month, a young woman in our area is making history. Delaware County now has its first female Eagle Scout. 19-year-old, Daniel Scott's project was reclaiming an area, the Mount Moriah cemetery in Yeadon.

She cleaned up and righted the headstone of Caroline Price, the founder of the Red Cross of Strathmore in New Jersey. She also restored the family gravesite of the price family. Danielle joined the Scouts at 17. She got a two year extension so she could earn her Eagle Scout badge.

DANIELLE SCOTT: It's honestly super exciting when I first realized that I would kind of be a part of like the inaugural class of girls at our first Eagle Scout. I thought it was an amazing opportunity. And I really wanted to set the mark for all the girls in my troop, because there are really young and they're all looking forward to what scouting can bring for them.

- Danielle said scouts have been key for her when it comes to learning leadership skills. She's now attending Westchester University. Congrats.
