DO Delaware: Eagles tribute, tiki boats, Constitution Yards show and cannon blasts on tap

Flying high with EagleMania

Rock legends the Eagles have a wingspan that’s hard to match. Yet that hasn’t stopped tribute act EagleMania from spreading its wings. EagleMania delivers five-part harmonies and hits that you’d come to expect like “Hotal California” and “New Kid in Town.”

As a heads up, you’ll have to bring your own chair if you’d like to have a seat at this show.  You also might be required to show your COVID-19 vaccination card or a negative test based on artist or public health requirements. Ticket buyers will be notified of these requirements via email.

This Eagles tribute will flock to the Freeman Arts Pavilion (31806 Lakeview Dr., Selbyville) at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $25. Free for children age 12 or younger. Visit freemanarts.org or (302) 436-3015.

What happens when sipping tiki drinks isn’t enough? The next logical step would be to cruise on a tiki boat on the Christina River, presented by Paradise Tiki Tours.

This custom-built boat has enough room for you and 39 others to ride the river and relax. The boat also has a full bar and restroom.

Adults can have their next tiki boat adventure, beginning at the dock behind Iron Hill Brewery (620 Justison St., Wilmington) from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday. Tickets are $30. For more info, visit tikitourboat.com or (855) 720-TIKI.

If the summer hasn’t been warm enough for you, it’s about to really heat up with the band Bucket of Hot. The outfit plays a mix of genres and has over 600 songs on their “bucket list,” as per their website.

Play it smart and hydrate before you’re doused with a Bucket of Hot at Constitution Yards (308 Justison St., Wilmington) from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday. For more info, visit constitutionyards.com or (302) 407-5192.

Cannons on Fourth of July

Witnessing fireworks on Independence Day is typical. But seeing a cannon blast off on that day is certainly not.

There will be three opportunities for families to experience cannon firings on the Fourth of July. Just don’t let the seemingly small cannon fool you, because it delivers a stronger bang than you might expect.

These cannon demonstrations will get you fired up at Hagley Museum (298 Buck Road, Wilmington) at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., Monday. $15 adults, $12 seniors (62+) and students; $8 children (6-14). Free for Hagley members and children under age 6, and active military (with ID). Visit hagley.org or (302) 658-2400.
