Which Delaware Valley hotels do Condè Nast Traveler readers love most? See the list here

Condè Nast Traveler readers were asked for their favorite hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region, and the Delaware Valley isn't just the place to be — it's the place to stay.

Among the publication's Top Hotels in the Mid-Atlantic Region Readers' Choice Awards, five are in Philadelphia; one is in New Hope, Pennsylvania; one is in Stone Harbor, New Jersey; and two are in Cape May, New Jersey. Wilmington's Hotel du Pont rounds out the top 15 list, released Oct. 3 on Condè Nast Traveler's website.

The AKA Rittenhouse Square (No. 2); Logan Philadelphia, a Hilton hotel (No. 3); Four Seasons Hotel at Comcast Center (No. 5); The Rittenhouse Hotel (No. 7); and The Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse Square (No. 8) helped the City of Brotherly Love dominate the list. All of those hotels are located in Center City, most around the prestigious Rittenhouse and Logan Square areas.

River House at Odette's (No. 6), located along the Delaware River in New Hope, draws visitors not only to the charming Bucks County town but is also walking and biking distance to Lambertville, New Hope's cohort across the river. Both towns feature shops, restaurants, walking and biking paths, art galleries and more.

Condè Nast Traveler readers choose three Jersey Shore: The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor, which was No. 12 on the list; the Virginia Hotel, a small Cape May boutique hotel; and Congress Hall, also in Cape May, a sprawling property along the beach that dates to 1816 in a seaside resort known for its Victorian architecture, historic sites including the Harriet Tubman Museum, lighthouse and nature preserves.

Wilmington's Hotel du Pont, completes the list at No. 15. A monument to Gilded Age and Italian Renaissance styles, dates to 1913 (when it was built as headquarters for the Delaware-based chemical company), the building officially opened as a hotel five years later. It's welcomed several U.S. presidents and celebrities from Amelia Earhart to Joe DiMaggio, Elizabeth Taylor to Jon Bon Jovi, Eleanor Roosevelt to Colin Powell.

Other hotels on the list are in Lake Placid and Saratoga Springs, New York; Baltimore; and Pittsburgh.
