Delays, cancellations begin to climb at Logan Airport as storms sweep the East Coast
Delays and cancellations began creeping up Tuesday morning as stormy weather continues to sweep the East Coast.
Severe storms: 2 dead, 1.1 million lose power, thousands of flights canceled
According to FlightAware, dozens of flights were already canceled or delayed at Logan Airport early Tuesday morning.
This comes as thunderstorms forced the Federal Aviation Administration to pause flights in cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Atlanta Monday.
“Atlanta was crazy, there wasn’t a chair, hardly any walking space, people were running to try to make connections,” said Susan Biggs, who was waiting for a shuttle at Logan to take her home to Maine after her connecting flight in Atlanta was canceled Monday. “Nothing was going in, nothing was going out.”
On Monday, more than 350 flights were delayed and 75 flights were canceled at Logan Airport.
