Delays Reported in Ohio as Technical Difficulties Force Switch to Paper Pollbook Check-In

Voters in Franklin County, Ohio, encountered delays on November 3, as poll centers used paper pollbooks to check voters in due to technical difficulties, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

The Ohio Secretary of State’s office said, “the Franklin County Board of Elections was not able to upload all early in-person voting data into their electronic check-in system.” The switch to paper pollbooks would only impact the voter check-in process, the statement said. “It’s important to note that this does NOT impact voting machines in any way.”
