Delco Rite Aids Offering Free Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA —Rite Aid is bolstering its efforts to provide free coronavirus testing in the Philadelphia region and the nation by adding more locations for testing.
Among the Rite Aid locations offering this testing are several in Delaware County.
Starting Friday, Rite Aid is expanding testing capabilities with 60 more drive through testing sites in Pennsylvania, California, Washington, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maryland.
Below are the Delaware County Rite Aid stores offering testing:
3120 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn
2722 W. 9th St., Chester
762 Chester Pike, Prospect Park
123 S. 69th St., Upper Darby
237 E. Lancaster Ave., Wayne
Testing will be available for those 4 years and older at all new and existing drive-through testing sites. Previously, testing had been available to individuals 13 years of age and older.
The new locations will use simple self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
At all testing locations, patients are required to pre-register online here to schedule a time slot for testing.
Those 4 to 18 years old can get tested with parent or legal guardian consent, and attendance and supervision of the minor at the testing appointment with a photo ID. For kids 4 to 12, a parent or legal guardian will create a Project Baseline account and follow the steps to indicate who the test is for. For children ages 13-17, creation of a Project Baseline account should happen only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
