Delicious in Brockton cooks up Haitian recipes passed down for generations

In Haitian culture, food brings people together. Showing your children the unique recipes passed down for generations is a form of bonding. Roody Musac, the owner of Delicious Restaurant, learned from his mother and turned those recipes into a thriving business. Delicious Restaurant, at 1753 Main St. in Brockton, opened its doors in 2017 as a way to share its simple traditions with Brockton, Musac said.

76 points in one game? Stonehill College football team bursts out to a memorable start

Fans that trickled into their seats at W.B. Mason Stadium shortly after 1 p.m. missed a show. Not all of the show – the Skyhawks still offered plenty of highlights against Post University on Sept. 10 – only the part when Stonehill's first home game as a Division 1 football program was a competitive swing. In a 76-0 win, that only lasted five plays.

This high-tech defense contractor could have left Brockton — Here's why it didn't.

There’s a little piece of Brockton in many Air Force drones, Navy ships and Army tanks. That’s thanks to a little-known company founded here 50 years ago, and that still calls Brockton home. Atrenne designs and builds electrical components for defense and civilian applications. The Brockton area has around 5,400 manufacturing jobs. About 110 of those are at Atrenne’s deceptively large facility on Mupac Drive. “We’re a defense company, protecting the warfighter,” said Jim Tierney, vice president of aerospace and defense systems.

Spellman's Jack Duffy is one of the most underrated high school football players around

The Cardinal Spellman High football team’s roster lists senior captain Jack Duffy’s position as quarterback. Rosters, specifically at the high school level, are known to take some liberties with the truth. “Quarterback. I also played running back, linebacker, kicker, punter, kick returner, punt returner,” said Duffy following Saturday’s 12-0 win over Nantucket. “Jack can do anything,” said Spellman coach Kahn Chace.
