Demi Lovato has allegedly called off her engagement to Max Ehrich, two months after announcing their plans to marry with the world.

According to a report from PEOPLE, 28-year-old singer Demi and 29-year-old actor Max have called time on their relationship, which started earlier this year in March. A source said, "It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers.

"They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together," they added. Page Six reported something similar just yesterday, adding, "It’s not over yet..., But it's on its way there."

So far, neither Max or Demi have publicly commented on the split rumours, but reports say her sister and bodyguard have unfollowed Max on social media, while the former couple have failed to engage with each other's posts for a while.

Demi and Max announced their engagement after four months together with a series of loved up Instagram posts. Showing off her corker of a ring, Demi wrote in the caption, "I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life. I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you."

Max added, "You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life. Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some."

Until we hear straight from the horse's mouth, these could just be rumours. But let's hope Demi and Max are doing OK either way.
