AFL-CIO Cancels Presidential Forum Due to Virus: Campaign Update

(Bloomberg) -- The AFL-CIO canceled a presidential forum in Florida on March 12 due to the coronavirus outbreak, the union said Saturday in a statement.

Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden were scheduled to participate in the Orlando event, which would have taken place five days before Florida holds its primary with 219 Democratic delegates at stake.

The RealClearPolitics average of polls shows Biden with a whopping 37.5 percentage-point advantage over Sanders in the state. Three other states -- Arizona, Illinois and Ohio -- join Florida to hold primaries on March 17.
