A new poll released by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee suggests that the competitive race to replace U.S. Rep. Jim Langevin in Congress is currently neck and neck.

The poll showed Democrat Seth Magaziner and Republican Allan Fung each polling at 48% support, with 5% of voters undecided.

Notably, however, the poll did not include Moderate Party candidate Bill Gilbert, who has received between 4% to 5% of support in past polls conducted by other outlets.

The poll was conducted by DCCC Analytics, which surveyed 812 likely 2022 general election voters between October 23 and 24, using a mixture of live callers and text-to-web services.

Other polls released earlier this month showed Fung with a slight lead, sometimes within the margin of error.

The DCCC claims that this new poll "shows a much-hyped Republican pickup opportunity in Rhode Island slipping away as Seth Magaziner has begun consolidating his base in this Democratic district."

The poll also shows Gov. Dan McKee ahead of Republican Ashley Kalus by seven points, a higher margin than past polls.
