Demonstrators call eviction illegal during pandemic
Organizers of a march Saturday in Baltimore said what's being described as an illegal eviction during the coronavirus pandemic sparked a movement in to protect renters. The march started near Douglas Homes in east Baltimore before ending at City Hall. It was all sparked by an incident earlier this month. Organizers said a reverend at the Douglas Homes alerted the Peoples Power Assembly on Oct. 5 about an apparent eviction attempt by the Baltimore Housing Authority.
