Denise Richards posted about her ‘fun’ night out in Florida. Then came the commentary

Denise Richards was back in her old stomping grounds of South Florida over the weekend, and got a surprising reception.

It’s been 25 years since the actress starred as a naughty teenager with a secret in “Wild Things,” which was partially filmed in South Florida.

(Trivia: Her character Kelly Van Ryan’s “Blue Bay High School” was actually Ransom Everglades in Coconut Grove.)

These days, Richards is a happily married mother of three and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum.

Over the weekend, the 52-year-old Illinois native was making the philanthropic rounds in Boca Raton, attending a charity event with her husband Aaron Phypers.

Richards looked fantastic in a jewel encrusted black minidress, Trojan-style high heels and blond hair extensions.

“Fun night with the hubby,” said the harmless Instagram caption of a photo of the two at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

While we noted no imperfections whatsoever, the dark side of the Internet had a field day dissecting her in the comments section.

Multiple followers picked apart just about every aspect of the photo, literally from head to toe.

Followers accused the Hollywood vet of heavy editing as her skin looked smoother than it did in her “RHOBH” days.

“Just be you. Stop photoshopping,” accused one.

Even more people (most, ironically, with private accounts and no avatars of themselves), weighed in on her feet.

“Get that [bunion] taken care of,” a wannabe podiatrist sniped. Mean.

At least a few folks came to the TV star’s defense.

“She’s funny and I enjoy her acting and she has aged beautifully,” wrote one kind soul. “We all have flaws/issues so let’s just scroll by if we have nothing nice to say.”
