Denmark to transfer 100 Leopard-1 tanks to Ukraine
“We will start deliveries of Leopard tanks to Ukraine by summer,” Poulsen said.
“And by looking half a year ahead, I hope that it will be possible to transfer about 100 Leopard-1 tanks. This would be a significant help for the Ukrainian army in the fight for freedom.”

He added that Denmark is open for a discussion regarding the transfer of Leopard-2 tanks, as well.
“There aren’t many Leopard-2s in Denmark, but we can discuss other ways to get them,” the minister said.

He also noted that Ukraine could receive CAESAR artillery systems in May. Currently the Ukrainian military is studying how to operate them at Danish training grounds.
“In the near future we will hear a roar of the Leopards with a Danish accent,” Reznikov concluded.

On Feb. 14, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that a number of countries are working on the transfer of Leopard tanks to Ukraine. The list includes Denmark and the Netherlands, as well as Germany, Poland, Canada, Portugal, Spain, and Norway. However, some governments later reconsidered their position, ultimately deciding against supplying tanks to Ukraine.
